The Saline Solution

is an American program that is designed to teach physicians how to share their faith with their patients within their medical setting. UMO has been given the privilege of translating this program into Ukrainian and Russian, and presenting it throughout Ukraine. The author, if available, will take part in one of the first conferences.

Saline Solution conferences give attention to the strong connection between faith and medicine based on scientific evidence as well as personal testimonies. Medical workers are provided with the fact that many more patients would like their physicians to minister to them on a spiritual level, but many physicians are uncomfortable with how to integrate this information into their practice.

Currently the Saline Solution has been translated into Ukrainian and is going through the review process – a physician, a pastor and a grammarian are each reading the material to ensure an excellent translation.

A supporting church in Tennessee has generously provided UMO with the funds to not only finish the translation and have the workbooks printed, but also the

funds to hold six conferences in 2005. UMO has also been invited to present this material at a country-wide medical conference in the fall of 2005.
